In order to prepare for new equipment, A/Z was selected to renovate the existing cardiac catheterization suite at L+M Hospital in New London, CT. This work mainly consisted of structural improvements to support the new air handler and medical equipment on Level 5 and the equipment on Level 4 above the NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit).
In addition to HVAC improvements, the team added a new toilet room and medical gas requirements, new electrical closets and modifications to the existing electrical distribution, and improved support services for communications, nurse call, and coordination with Phillips equipment. In addition, A/Z also installed new framing and lead-lined GWB, along with millwork and architectural finishes.
