This initiative that encompassed renovations to an existing lab facility and the construction of two additional floors on a fast-track basis. A major portion of the space was completely demolished and rebuilt to house rodent holding rooms, procedure rooms, sample processing, surgery, and storage. An office suite was constructed and isolated from the laboratory/holding rooms by a dedicated airlock/gowning area. An adjoining area was partially demolished and renovated into an in-vitro lab and a sample preparation lab. On the new floors, the project team constructed offices and a training room for the Animal Research Group (ARG), supporting research and toxicology veterinarians along with animal care personnel.
