In response to increasing healthcare demands, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital initiated a series of fast-track renovations on its Pequot Health Center, which provides rehabilitation therapy as well as MRI, CT scan, and X-ray imaging services. The initiative was designed to better accommodate patients and staff by increasing examination space. In order to prevent any disruption of the busy facility’s daily operations, A/Z carefully proceeded with the demolition of an existing cafeteria/dining area in close collaboration with health center staff. The space was converted into three exam rooms and a common area. An updated air distribution system was also installed. The safety of building occupants and the control of noise and dust within the sensitive environment were emphasized in order to bring the project to a successful completion.
