Vegetable oil refinement company, AAK, required a number of critical upgrades to its Newark, NJ manufacturing facility. A/Z’s project team was engaged to work from the BIM model of the facility’s process systems to extract isometrics for prefabrication of the various piping for the facility. This piping was then prepared to the exact required specifications in-house at A/Z’s fabrication facility. The team supported the installation these piping systems, which included high/medium/low pressure steam and condensate, vacuum, instrument air, nitrogen, and food-grade product lines. The piping materials used by the mechanical team included copper, carbon steel, and food-grade stainless steel systems.
