A/Z was selected to perform the extensive telecommunications installations for United Illuminating’s Central Facility. The new campus on the 34-acre Marsh Hill site consists of a 185,000 sf operations and data center, a 128,000 sf office complex, and other supporting buildings. A/Z’s team was responsible for installing an augmented category 6A, 10-gigabyte copper cabling solution and OM4, 50-micro fiber optic cabling throughout the nerve center. The creation of a robust and dynamic network will allow United Illuminating to offer rapid support to electric customers throughout its service territory.
